Belgian National Team represents Belgium in the international football competitions, which is under the Royal Belgian Football Association. It has so far qualified for 13 World Cup editions but has failed to reach the final. The best ever record of Belgium in the World Cup is 4th place in the 1986 World Cup.

Belgium was able to reach the quarter-final in 2014 world cup but was knocked out by Argentina. It lost no matches in the qualification round and was the first European nation to be qualified. Similarly, Belgium is also the first European country to be qualified for World Cup 2018. With no losses in the qualification round, Belgium won 9 out of 10 matches and scored 43 goals in total which is the most goals scored in the qualification round.

Belgium currently ranks 5th in the FIFA World rankings and was the top-ranked nation from November 2015 to March 2016. The team is currently coached by Roberto Martínez and Eden Hazard is the captain. Bernard Voorhoof and Paul Van Himst are two highest scoring players in the history with 30 goals each. Jan Vertonghen is the highest capped player with 97 appearances so far.
