Antonio Valencia was born as Luis Antonio Valencia Mosquera on 4 August 1985. His Zodiac sign is Taurus. He was born to Luis Antonio Valencia and Teresa Mosquera in Lago Agrio, Ecuador. His siblings are Eder Valencia, Jazmine Valencia, and Alfredo Valencia.

Antonio Valencia Club Career

Antonio Valencia began his professional football career in 2003, joining the Ecuadorian professional club El Nacional. He made his debut for El Nacional alongside his idol Édison Méndez.

His first club title for his team was in 2005, Clausura Tournament, earning him the attention of both the national team's manager and Spanish clubs. His two seasons with the club ended up with 84 appearances and 12 goals.

He further moved to Spanish club Villarreal in 2005. He was in the club for three years appearing in only two games without a goal. He was sent on a loan to Recreativo for a season. He played 12 games for the club without a goal.

He was further sent on a loan to Wigan Athletic on 3 August 2006 for two years. He made his "English Premier League" debut on 19 August 2006, in a 2–1 loss away to Newcastle United. His three years spell at the club ended with total 84 appearances and seven goals.

On 30 June 2009, Valencia became the first Manchester United's summer signing, with the four-year contract for an undisclosed fee. He made his official debut for the club on 29 July 2009, in a 2–1 pre-season victory over Boca Juniors in the Audi Cup. He still plays for the club alongside Marcos Rojo, Sergio Romero, Juan Mata, and Phil Jones.

Antonio Valencia International Career

Antonio Valencia has represented his national team in several tournaments; he is the captain of the national team. He debuted for his country in 2004. He scored his first international goal on 27 March 2005, in a match against Paraguay. He won over 92 caps for his national team scoring 12 goals.

Antonio Valencia is a married man; he married his longterm loving girlfriend, Zoila Valencia. The couple was in a relationship for six years before getting married. They tied their knots on July 6, 2014, among their family and friends in Equador.
