Amine Harit was born on 18th of June 1997, in Pontoise, France. His star sign is Gemini. He holds both French and Moroccan and is of Moroccan descent.

Harit began playing football at the age of six and had played for various clubs including Argenteuil C.O., Esperance Paris19eme, Paris Saint-Germain, and Red Star, before switching to Nates in 2012.

However, football was not his only passion; as a kid, he was a talented swimmer. His father was the one who influenced him for the pool and until the age of 14, he was a part of a swimming club.

Amine Harit's Professional Career


Following various youth system at Nantes, Amine Harit was promoted up the reserve team of Nantes in 2015. In the season, he played overall 15 matches.

In the 2016-17 season, Harit was called up to the main team of the club. On 13th August 2016, he made his Ligue 1 debut representing Nates against Dijon. He played the entire game in a 1-0 away victory. Further, he finished the season, making 30 game appearances with a goal.

Schalke 04

On 10th July 2017, Harit arrived at Schalke 04, signing a four-year contract for a reported fee of $9.33 million which could rise to $11.66 million with bonuses. On 14th August, Harit made his debut for the club in a DFB-Pokal against BFC Dynamo, which ended in a 2-0 away victory.

In a match against Borussia Dortmund, Harit scored his very first Bundesliga goal which overturned a 4-0 deficit to a 4-4 draw in a historical Revierderby game, on 25th November 2017. Moreover, he was awarded Bundesliga rookie of the month for December 2017.

As of Feb 2019, he has played 44 matches and scored 4 goals for Schalke 04.

Amine Harit's International Career

As Harit is of Moroccan descent and born in France, he is enabled to play for both sides internationally. But he chose to represent his native and played for France national team starting from the U-18 football team until the U21s.

In October 2015, he was offered by the Morocco U-19 team, but he refused. Later, he decided to switch his allegiance to the Moroccan National Team, making his international debut for Morocco against Gabon in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification on 7th October 2017. He entered in the match replacing Nordin Amrabat in the 90 minutes of the 3-0 win.

Some of his teammates traveling to the World Cup 2018 are Aziz Bouhaddouz, Medhi BenatiaRomain Saiss etc.
