Allan Wanga is a Kenyan professional football player who currently plays as a striker for the Kenyan professional club named Tusker FC in the Kenyan Premier League and the Kenya national team. Early Life

Allan Wanga was born as Allan Wetende Wanga on 26 November 1985, in Kisumu, Kenya. He was born to Frank M. Watende and Noel Ayeta and has two siblings; a brother named Richard Malaki and a sister named Nancy Kuboko. His father is a soccer coach from Western Kenya and mother a Pastor. He attended St Paul's High School.

Club Career

Allan Wanga began his professional footballing career in 2005, joining the Kisumu-based Lolwe FC. He appeared in 12 games and scored 8 goals in his 3 months career with the club. He then switched to the Tusker FC in 2007 and played for the club until the end of 2007 season, when his club won the league. He scored 13 goals in his nine last matches for Tusker FC and 21 in total in 23 appearances with the club.

Wanga then moved to the Angolan club Petro Atletico at the end of 2007 and was able to win the Angolan Premier League in his first season with the club. In his 2 seasons with the club, he appeared in 35 games and scored 19 goals. He then moved to the Azerbaijani club FC Baku on a six-month contract with a season renewable deal in 2010. He played a season with the club appearing in 16 games and netted 10 goals and further left for Vietnam. He signed a contract with the Vietnamese club named Hoang Anh Gia Lai on 2 December 2010. He played two seasons for the club making a total appearance of 22 games and managed to score 14 goals.

Allan Wanga then signed a one-year contract with the Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh on 4 June 2014. He played 18 games for the club scoring 11 goals and further joined the Tanzanian club Azam FC on 21 July 2015, signing to a one-year contract. His one-year stay at Azam was restricted to 11 appearances due to personal issues; he played 19 games for the club and scored 12 goals. He further moved back to his previous club Tusker FC in June 2016 and made his professional second stint debut for the club on 17 July 2016. He has so far started in 15 matches and scored 11 goals.

International Career

Allan Wanga made his professional international debut representing his national side Kenya on 27 May 2007, in a friendly match against Nigeria. He scored his professional debut international goal for Kenya on 8 December 2007 against Tanzania in a 2–1 loss at the 2007 CECAFA Cup. He has won over 44 caps for his national team scoring 22 goals.

Personal Life

Allan Wanga is married to his longtime girlfriend Brenda Mulinya. The couple tied their knot on September 3, 2011, in a ceremony held in Tayiana gardens in Nairobi. His wife Brenda Mulinya is a Kenyan TV reporter. The couple together has two children; a son named Jayden and a daughter both born before the marriage of the couple. There was the appearances of several national squad teammates, club mates, coaches and other friends from Allan's side. 

Apart from this, his football icons are fellow Kenyan footballer McDonald Mariga of Inter Milan and French New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry.

He is 6 feet 1 inch/ 1.86 m tall and weighs 76 kgs.
