Alexandr Dolgopolov, also known as Oleksandr Dolgopolov Jr. is a Ukrainian retired, tennis player. He is the top-ranked male player of Ukraine. After reaching the Australian Open quarterfinal, in January 2012 he achieved his career's highest ranking of world No 13. He started his professional career in 2006 and retired in 2021.
Alexandr Dolgopolov was born on November 7, 1988, in Kiev, Ukraine. He is the only son of Oleksandr Dolgopolov Sr. and Elena Devetyarova. His father was also a professional tennis player who played for the Soviet team. And his mother was a gymnast.
Dolgopolov started playing tennis at the age of 3. Moreover, he met some famous players like Andre Agassi, and Boris Becke during his tour with his parents.

Similarly, in 2012, he won his first ATP 500 at the Citi Open in Washington, D.C in Croatia Open. In 2013, he just reached the quarterfinals in three tournaments. Although he reached the 2014 Rio Open, he wasn't able to get the victory. Alexandr didn't win even a single title in 2015 and 2016 although he participated in most of the tournaments.
