Oscar Washington Tabarez Silva famously known as Oscar Tabarez is a former Uruguayan footballer and currently serves as the manager of Uruguay national team. He previously played with the National Team as a defender and represented in the 3 World Cups.
Tabarez was born on 3 March 1947 in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is of Uruguayan nationality and born in the early of March; his sun sign is Aries. Grew up with the huge passion of soccer, he started his early career playing with several juniors teams in Uruguay.
As a player, he spent 12 years playing football with different clubs including Sud America, Sportivo Italiano, Montevideo Wanderers, Fenix, Puebla, and Bella Vista.
Tabarez started his professional coaching career in 1988. He managed the Uruguayan national football team 1988 to 1990. He later made his second stint with the side in 2006 and led the team the fourth place in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and a grand victory in the 2011 Copa America.
With his outstanding coaching skills, Uruguay has been qualified for three World Cups accomplishing the round of 16, two times and once to the semi-finals. Tabarez was appointed to the position of head coach on 25 March 2016.
