Samuel Badree is a professional Trinidian professional cricketer who played international cricket, especially in the twenty 20 formats.

 

He is a right arm leg spin bowler and played a crucial role in winning at the 2012 tournament of World Twenty 20 played in Sri Lanka.

Samuel Badree is of Trinidian nationality having Indo Trinidian ethnicity. He was born on 8 March 1981 at  Barrackpore Trinidad and Tobago.

He was interested in playing cricket since his early childhood days and went to San Fernando Naparima College.

Before becoming a professional cricket for West Indies, he was a physical education teacher at the secondary school level.

He made his debut first-class debut for his country, Trinidad and Tobago national team against the Leeward Islands in the 2001/02 Busta Cup.

Besides playing several domestic Twenty 20 at the Caribbean, he has played for Twenty 20 teams for Bangladesh Primer League. Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, and Australian Big Bash.

He took a hattrick for Royal Challengers Banglore against Mumbai Indians on 14 April 2017 and is currently with the team led by Virat Kohli and played alongside South African great cricketer, AB de Villiers for Banglore at IPL in 2018.

As of 2018 he has represented West Indies at the Test or One Day International level but is a key player in the West Indies Twenty 20 team.

He made his WestIndies in the Twenty 20 International against New Zealand in the summer of 2012.

Badree was the member of the West Indian that went to win the World Twenty 20 in 2012 and was second highest wicket-taker after Imran Tahir and Ahsan Malik in the 2014 World Twenty 20 edition played at Bangladesh.

He reached his career when he was the number one bowler in the ICC Player Rankings in Twenty 20 Internationals.
