Domestic Career: The Foundation of Excellence

Sai Sudharsan began his career in cricket with Alwarpet CC during the 2019/20 Raja of Palayampatti Shield, for whom he scored 635 runs at 52.92. He debuted at the senior level for Tamil Nadu in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in November 2021 and List A for the Vijay Hazare Trophy the same year. His work in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) was good, but most notably, his single season in 2023 stood out, with his overall runs reaching 371 runs throughout six games. Such outings were noticed by IPL teams, and that prompted him to join the Gujarat Titans in February of 2022 for ₹20 lakhs.

With IPL 2024, he was the Gujarat Titans' top run-getter with 527 runs off 47 knocks with one hundred and two fifties. Beyond the IPL, Sudharsan set the world alight when, in August 2023, Surrey County Cricket Club signed him for three County Championship games. For the Ranji Trophy (2024/25 season), he achieved his first double century against Delhi, though he missed later rounds because of injury. All these records have established him as being among India's most promising young cricketers.
