Peruvian National Football Team represents Peru in the international football competitions and is administrated by Peruvian Football Federation. Peru is one of the successful nation on the South American continent. Peru has played in four editions of the FIFA World Cups and has recently qualified for its fifth edition. Finally, Peru broke the dreadlock of disqualification since 1982. It's Peru's FIFA Worldcup after 36 years.

Peru's best ever achievement in the World cup is in Mexico 1970, finishing in seventh place, and in the top eight at the World Cup in Argentina 1978. Peru's currently ranks 10th in the FIFA World Ranking and it's their best ever ranking in the history. The lowest ranking is 91.

Roberto Palacios is the most capped player with 128 appearances for the Peru International Team and is followed by Héctor Chumpitaz, with 105 appearances. The team's all-time top goalscorer is Paolo Guerrero, with 32 goals in 86 appearances and is followed by Teófilo Cubillas, who scored 26 goals in 81 appearances. Paolo Guerrero is the captain of his Peruvian national team and the head coach is Ricardo Gareca.
Peru made it's final way to the Russian World Cup after their 2-0 win over New Zealand in the playoff.
