Patric Gosta Hornqvist or famously known as Patric Hornqvist is a professional ice hockey player from Sweden who is currently playing for National Hockey League team, Pittsburgh Penguins in the position of right wing.
Besides playing for Pittsburgh Penguins, he has played for Nashville Predators and scored a famous goal that won the Stanley Cup in 2017.
A two time Stanley Cup winner, he has previously won it in 2016.
Patric Hornqvist was born to Swedish parents in Sollentuna on January 1, 1987.
His father also played ice hockey as a goalkeeper previously and cites his father as his inspiration to take up ice the game. He holds a Swedish nationality.
He started his hockey playing career playing for local Swedish club, Gillbo IF and Solna SK and later played for junior teams such as Vasby IK Hockey as well as Djugarden in their under 20 teams.
