Frederick Piuze-Roy is a Canadian ice hockey player who was born on February 26, 1991, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is attending Concordia University where he plays with Concordia stingers. He is the son of the hall of fame goaltender Patrick Roy and Michele Piuze. Patrick got married to Michele on June 9, 1990. They have altogether three children: Jonathan, Frederick, and Jana. Frederick and Jonathan have played for the Quebec ramparts during their father's tenure as head coach of the team.
Roy has played two seasons of hockey with Rochester Americans in the American hockey league. He has played major junior hockey in the Quebec major junior hockey league (QMJHL) with the Quebec Remparts. He received a 15 games suspension from the QMJHL for high sticking Vincent bourgeois of the Montreal juniors in the 2008-09 seasons. He signed to his first professional contract with the Rochester Americans for the 2012-13 seasons. He contributed with 10 points from a checking-line role in 64 games with the Amerks. He was re-signed to an additional one-year contract by the Amerks on July 10, 2013. He matched his career high with 8 goals in 52 games with the Amerks in the 2013-14 seasons.
He has won guy Carbonneau trophy for the QMJHL best defensive forward and was honored as the first all-star team in the QMJHL in 2011-12. After two seasons with Rochester, he decided to end his career and announced his retirement intending to go back to school for further education and follow his acting career. According to him he just wanted a break from the game and wanted to try out something new in his life. He then hired a manager, took acting classes experienced what life among the stars is like to be. He also played a small role in a Disney commercial as a background actor.
It seems like he is still single and has not revealed his personal life among the media. He is the second son of the hall of fame goaltender, Patrick Roy. He and his brother Jonathan has played for the Quebec ramparts when his father was a head coach of the team. Patrick joined the Quebec ramparts as a vice president of hockey operations after retiring from the NHL and also became the owner and the general manager and was titled as the head coach of the team on September 29, 2005. Patrick was arrested for domestic violence on October 22, 2000. Patrick and his wife Michele were in an argument and came to a conclusion of ending their relationship and divorced in early 2003. Frederick has played in four regular seasons with the Remparts and scored 2 goals, 4assists and had 5 penalty minutes. He has also played two professional seasons in the American hockey league with the Rochester Americans.
