Cristiano Ronaldo refuses to wear Serie A MVP badge in Respect for Juventus teammates Soccer

Serie A gave special badges to the player who won the best goalkeeper, best defender, best midfielder, best forward, best young player and MVP of the season awards following the 2018/19 campaign.

Samir Handanovic won the best goalkeeper award, Kalidou Koulibaly was the best defender, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic won the best midfielder award, Fabio Quagliarella was the best-attacking player, and Nicolo Zaniolo best young player.

The best player of the season went to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The other 4 award winners have been wearing their special badge, however, Ronaldo opted not to wear it as reported by Marca.

Do you know why?

The badge isn’t a compulsory addition, and the superstar forward has decided not to wear it as a mark of respect to his teammates whom he believes are in no way inferior to him.

Ronaldo isn’t always considered the most humble of people but that is a very selfless gesture.
