On 17th November 2004, Jansen was signed by Los Angels Dodgers as an undrafted free agent. Following this, he played for North Shore Honu in the Hawaii Winter Baseball League, where he hit 121. In 9 games.
Again, he then played for West Oahu CaneFires in Hawaii Baseball winter. Afterward, he was selected to the mid-season Midwest League All-star game.
Jansen earned his promotion to the Dodgers on July 23, 2010, and made his major league debut against New York Mets on 24 July 2010. In his debut match, he pitched a scoreless inning, retiring all three batters.
Jansen then gained his first victory over Houston Astros on September 11, 2010. During his 2010 season, he played 25 games, working 27 innings with a 1-0 record and 0.67 ERA.
