In July 2017, Rodríguez was signed by the Seattle Mariners as an international free agent.

The following year, he made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League Mariners, batting 315/.404/.525 with 50 runs, 9 triples, 5 home runs, 36 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.

That season, he earned a DSL mid-season All-Star and a Baseball America DSL All-Star. Moreover, he was over three years younger than the average player in both leagues.

Rodríguez began the 2019 season playing with the Class A West Virginia Power in the South Atlantic League. In August, he joined Class A-Advanced Modesto Nuts in the California League. That season, he was one of three 18-year-olds in all of minor league baseball to playing High-A ball. 

In June 2021 Rodriguez joined the Everett Aquasoxs and was transferred to Double-A Arkansas a few months later.
