Juan Encarnacion is a professional baseball player who used to play for Detroit Tigers in the outfielder position. In 2007, he had a career-ending eye injury that forced him out of the baseball game. During his playing career, he won the World Series Champion in 2003 and 2006 with Florida Marlins and St.  Louis Cardinals respectively. In 1997, he was also named the Southern League's All-Star Game Most Valuable Player. 

After retiring from baseball, the former Florida Marlins outfielder also put his hands in politics. He is the leader of the National Sports Committee as part of the National Board of Directors of Independent Movements. It is the presidential project of Miguel Vargas. He is also the founder of the Juan Encarnación Foundation that he founded in 2005.

Later, the Dominican baseball player was arrested from his home in the Dominican Republic. The incident happened in May and in August, the authorities held him in the Palace of Justice for the case filed against him.
