Hazratullah Zazai is an Afghan cricketer who made his international debut in December 2016. He got his breakthrough after he scored the highest individual score by an Afghan batsman in a Twenty20 International, with an unbeaten 162 runs off 62 balls against Ireland in February 2019.
Paktia, Afghanistan native, Hazratullah Zazai was born on 23rd March 1998, under the star sign Aries. The twenty-three years old holds an Afghan nationality.
On 10th August 2017, Zazai made his List A debut for Amo Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament.
On 20th October 2017, he made his first-class debut in the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament for Band-e-Amir Region.
In September 2018, Zazai was called to play in Kabul Zwanan's squad in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament. The following month, he hit six sixes in one over in the match against Balkh Legends, equalling the record for the fastest fifty in Twenty20 cricket, from twelve balls. With 322 runs in ten matches, he was the leading run-scorer for Kabul Zwanan in the tournament.
After being the draft for the 2018-19 Bangladesh Premier League, Zazai was named in the squad for the Dhaka Dynamites team in October 2018.
Further, he was named to play for the Rajshahi Royals in the 2019–20 Bangladesh Premier League In November 2019. In October 2020, Zazai was selected by the Galle Gladiators for the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League.
On 16th December 2016, Zazai made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against the United Arab Emirates. His One Day International (ODI) debut for Afghanistan came on 27th August 2018 against Ireland.
In August 2018, he scored the fastest T20I fifty by an Afghan cricketer, in 22 balls against Ireland. Further, in his second T20I match against Ireland, he scored 162 not out, which is his first century in a T20I match and the second-highest score overall, behind Aaron Finch's 172.
In April 2019, Zazai was named to play for the 2019 Cricket World Cup by Afghanistan's side. Next, he was named for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
