Hey everyone! My name is Emily Parry (@emily_parry), my boyfriend is Daniel Palka (@palkadaniel), and this is our story! Daniel was drafted to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 3rd round of the 2013 MLB draft from Georgia Tech. Since then, he has been with two other organizations, and has played in two other countries! Long story short, Daniel and I met on instagram almost 4 years ago. I was a "Rallyback" (the girls who throw t shirts) for the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Daniel was just finishing his first spring training. According to him, he was looking through different hashtags to see if he could find any pictures of himself and came across a picture of me. Well, he followed me, and the rest is clearly history. We just celebrated our 3 year ‘anniversary’ this February. Daniel and I have done long distance for the majority of our relationship, which let me tell you, is tough! This off-season, we finally called it quits - I packed up my things, grabbed my dog, and headed to Atlanta, GA, Daniel’s off-season home. Right now I am very fortunate to be working remotely (telecommuting) for a non-profit that I have been dedicated to and employed by since I graduated college. This will be my first season ‘traveling’ and I could not be more excited and thankful! The biggest advice I could give other WAGs is to always have something to look forward to! Whether that's a FaceTime call, a visit, an off-day, or even the off-season. It's the best way to stay positive in this lifestyle! #meetthewags #wagsinreallife
