In the same year, he was promoted to Major League player Pawtucket Red Sox of the Triple-A International League by the Portland. He made his MLB debut on 20 August 2013.
In 2014, the MLB star became the Red Sox's starting shortstop 2014. Furthermore, he won Silver Slugger Award in back-to-back years, 2015 and 2016.
