Foust was born on June 13, 1973 in Denver, Colorado. He discovered rally racing and learned driving during his time at UK and Scotland. He used to spend his summers in the United States at pre-med track doing mechanic works and driver coaching jobs.
Foust spent several years of his childhood in Scotland and UK as he grew up in a navy family. He learned about driving during his childhood in his time there. Foust fas an amazing educational background as well. He has a degree in molecular biology from University of Colorado. After finishing college, he began working as ice driving coach, instructor and also did some rally drifting in order to pave his way to the racing world. Foust started participating in various racing tournaments from mid-2000's. He was one of the regular competitors of the Formula Drift series. An amazing racer, Foust has won the 2007 and 2008 Formula Drift Championship, thus making himself the first driver in the history of Formula Drift to win back to back championships. He has also participated in X Games, winning total 9 medals in the event. From 2010, Foust started working as a presenter of a TV series called Top Gear (topgear) in the History Channel. He has also worked as a host in various other shows like SuperCars Exposed of SPEED Channel, ESPN's Import Tuners and Redline TV. He participated in the European Rallycross Championship (ERC) in 2010. Foust started participating in Global RallyCross from 2011 and won the event in 2011 and 2012 with Rockstar-Etnies Ford Fiesta. In 2013, Foust won gold medal in Gymkhana Grid and silver medal in RallyCross in X Games XIX Events, Los Angeles. He made a partnership with Volkswagen and Andretti Autosport in 2014. Foust was also busy in shooting the fifth season of Top Gear (topgear) in 2014. Besides racing in real tournaments, Foust has also worked as a stunt driver in many movies such as Iron Man 2, The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift, Need For Speed and The Dukes of Hazzard.
According to some sources, Foust was dating Fox Sports reporter Katie Osborne. There are also rumors that the couple got married recently. Foust and her girlfriend are living happily and there are no news of their divorce around at the moment. Some sources also claim that he has a daughter, but we cannot say whether the news is true or not until Foust himself speaks up about it. Foust has personal cars like 1976 Porsche 912e, Ford Fiesta in his house. He currently uses Volkswagen Passat for rally drifting.

He is two times Formula Drift champion and is the most successful driver in X Games series with 9 medals (4 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze). He has also won the 2011 and 2012 Global RallyCross Championship and is 3 time U.S. Rallycross Champion (2010, 2011, 2012). Besides these awards and medals, he has set multiple world records in racing. His net worth is about $1.2 million.
