Scot McCloughan is a name associated with American football world. Scot has served as general manager for different teams like San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins. He has also worked as the senior personnel executive for the Seattle Seahawks.
McCloughan was born on March 1 of 1971 in Alameda, California and was raised in Loveland, Colorado. Scot is the son of a famous American football player named Kent Mccloughan who played as the corner back for Oakland Raiders in the 1960s. His brother Dave McCloughan plays defensive back in the NFL.

Later, the New York Mets drafted him in the 10th round of the 1989 MLB draft, and the Toronto Blue Jays in the 10th round of the 1992 MLB draft. However, he never played in the major league for either of the team.
Scot received his first call for scouting job from the then general manager of Green Bay Packers when scot was an outfielder for Dunedin blue jays, in 1994.
Scot accepted the job offer and served as regional Scout from 1994-1999. Later, Scot was chosen as the college scouting director for the Seattle Seahawks, from 2000-2004, before joining the San Fransisco 49ers in 2005 as the vice president of player personnel.
Scot met up a mutual termination of his contract with the 49ers in 2010 because of his ongoing divorce and alcoholism, which he later revealed.
Later scot was hired by the Seattle Seahawks as assistant team drafter. He held this seat until April 2014 and resigned due to personal issues. Washington Redskins’ general manager hired Laterh scot but he was again fired due to his extreme alcoholism.
Scot is happily married to Jessica McCloughan. Scot previously married wife Kelli, with whom he has three children: son Caden and twin daughters Addison and Avery.
Jessica met him through a mutual friend who worked out at the gym, she managed in Colorado a few years ago. He proposed to Jess in a rental car.
