Sahith Reddy Theegala was born on December 4, 1997, in Orange, California, U.S., to his Indian parents Karuna Theegala (Mother) and Muralidhar Theegala (Father). His father moved from India to the United States in 1987 for graduate school.

After that, Muralidhar's fellow Indian immigrant Karuna Theegala. Later, they dated and married. Muralidhar used to visit India at least once every two years. Sahith also has a younger brother named Sahan. Their grandmother relocated to the U.S. to raise them as their mother battled cancer.

Since then, Sahith has begun playing in major tournaments and has already given his best. He finished top 30 at Tour Championship at the end of the 2021-22 season.
