Ryan Matthew Kelly (born April 9, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Duke University. Kelly is the son of Chris and Doreen Kelly. His younger brother, Sean, joined the Duke Blue Devils in July 2014 as a walk-on for the 2014–15 season. Through his marriage, Kelly is the brother-in-law of former Los Angeles Kings forward, Kevin Westgarth. His father was a basketball player and his mother was a former volleyball player.
Kelly was a four-year forward at Ravenscroft School in Raeligh, North Carolina and got graduated from there in 2009. He was named a 2009 McDonald's All-American, as well as a Jordan Brand All-American and rated in the top 20 overall by Scout.com. He then attended the duke university in 2009 and graduated from there in 2013. He played there under the coach Mike Krzyzewski.
