An international soccer player Xherdan Shaqiri who recently signed for English football club Liverpool and is also the member of the Switzerland national football team. He earned his senior cap in 2010 and represented the nation at the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, as well as UEFA Euro 2016.

Back in 2016, Shaqiri's yearly salary was calculated at £3.38 million while he received £1million annually in 2015. while playing for Stoke, he used to receive £36,000 as a weekly wage from his current club i.e. £ 1,872,000 in a year. In 2014, he bought a watch of Hublot company.

Xherdan Shaqiri's Career

As an intern, Shaqiri used to be as a youth player at SV Augst from 1999 to 2001. Following this, he played for FC Basel U16, U18, and U21. Likewise, he participated in U15 Nike Cup2007 where he became the best player of the tournament.

After playing eight years with Junior squad, Shaqiri was promoted to the main team in 2009 and signed his first professional contract while his market price was estimated at £45K. Before leaving the club in 2012, he played 92 games netting 18 goals.

Along with his team, Shaqiri has been honored with 2009–012 Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup (2009-010, 2011-012).

On 1st July 2012, Shaqiri was transferred to Bundesliga side Bayern Munich in a deal worth £10.62 million on a four-year contract.

His first match came on 10th July 2012, in a 1-0 friendly win against Bavarian. He netted the second goal for Munich providing assists for as providing assists for Claudio Pizarro and Mario Mandzukic, where they won via 4–0.

Xherdan Shaqiri was named as the man of the match on 5th December 2012, after scoring a goal and providing assists in a 4-1 defeat of BATE Bayern. He left the club in 2015 after scoring 11 goals in 52 appearances.

Stoke City

Shaqiri played for Stoke city as the midfielder until 2018. He signed on 11th August 2015, with the transfer fee of £15.30 million on a five-year deal. Later, he made his debut in a 1-1 draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road where he assists Mame Biram Diouf's headed goal.

He netted his first goal in a 4-3 victory against Everton on 28th December 2015. During the 2016-017 season, he scored 2-yard free kick goal against Middlesbrough. He later provided the assist for Joe Allen in a 1-1 tie against West Bromwich Albion.

Following that, Shaqiri became the first player to score two goals from the outside in Premier League against Hull City on 22nd October 2016. He has so far scored 15 goals in 84 appearances.

Shaqiri has been honored with 2012 Swiss Golden Player Award "SFAP Golden Player" and Swiss Golden Player Award "Best Young Player and 2012-013 DFB-Pokal top goalscorer and DFB-Pokal top assist provider.

Liverpool

After an impressive performance at the FIFA World Cup 2018, Shaqiri signed a contract with Liverpool on July 13, 2018, for the fee reported to be £13.5 million.

International Career

Xherdan Shaqiri earned his first international cap with the Switzerland U17 where he played 10 games. Similarly, he played 5 games for U-18 and U-19, 7 games for U-21 scoring 1 goal.

Shaqiri debuted professionally on 3rd March 2010, in a 1-3 loss against Uruguay in a friendly match with the coach Ottmar Hitzfeld. He was a member of the Swiss team at FIFA World Cup 2010. He netted his first international goal on 7th September 2010, against England at UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying.

Moreover, Shaqiri scored a hat-trick against Bulgaria in a 2012 Euro Qualifier. He was also included in FIFA World Cup 2014 and became the man of the match by FIFA against Ecuador.

Shaqiri represented the Switzerland national football team at the FIFA 2018 Football World Cup where he was named as the starter eleven. He performed brilliantly well and also scored an amazing goal.
