Wade Davis was drafted by Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the third round, of the 2004 MLB draft. His first major league appearances came on September 6, 2009, against the Detroit Tigers.

Davis got his big-break in 2010 season after being named as the Rookie Pitcher of the July, starting on Baseball America’s All-Rookie Team and the Most Outstanding Rookie of the Tampa Bay Rays. He also claimed the 4th position for the AL Rookie of the year in the voting system.

Davis completed his transfer to Kansas City on December 9, 2012, along with James Shields in exchange for Wil Myers, Jake Odorizzi, Mike Montgomery and Patrick Leonard. In his 2014 seasons, he did not give up a home run.

Davis is the second-cousin of the minor league coach, Jody Davis. He and his beautiful girlfriend, Katelyn Casey tied the holy knot in November 2009 in her hometown of Marlboro, New York.

Davis met his girlfriend in 2005 when she was 17. After four years, they welcomed their first child, Sully Rose Davis in 2013. They have two children and three dogs. They together run a non-organization named “Full Kount”.
