Victor Cruz Joins ESPN as analyst after his NFL Retirement American Football

Former New York Giants and Chicago Bears player Victor Cruz on Tuesday announced his NFL retirement and outed that he is joining ESPN as an NFL analyst. In a video, he clearly said that he is taking on the job of ESPN analyst from 22nd August on Wednesday.

The 31 years old Wide receiver was struggling with his injury and finally decided to hang his helmet and wear a coat and appear in front of the Camera.

Victor Cruz Retirement news was outed via a video on Uninterrupted where he thanked the game of football and his fans:

In the video he said:

"As I officially close one chapter of my life and begin another, I could not be more thrilled to join another championship team at ESPN, I'm excited to get started and share my insight and analysis with the viewers and fans of the NFL."

New York Giants 2011 to 2013's pick made a total of 23 touchdowns followed by 241 passes for 3,626 yards which will his legacy forever.

After 2011 season, he still received 21 receptions for 269 yards in four games and even touched down in Super Bowl XLVI which led Giants to take away a 21-17 victory over Patriots.

Cruz was released from Giants in February last year after he suffered a torn patellar tendon in October 2014 and missed the entire 2015 season.

He was congratulated by the Giant's current coach Pat Shurmur this Tuesday, he even called him as one of the great Giants and wished him for a better future, here is what he said to Victor Cruz:

"What a great Giant. I remember playing against him when I was in Philly and we were certainly well aware of the impact he could have on a ball game".

Shurmur added:

"I had a chance to meet him and be around him, and he certainly doesn't need an invite from me, but much like all the ex-Giants, I look forward to seeing him at practice any time he wants to be here. So, congratulations to him"

After being released by the Giants he signed up with Chicago Bears but was released by the team last September after he missed the last season.

We hope Victor Cruz NFL will make a good ESPN analyst as he understands the game like no other does. At the same time, we congratulate ESPN on their recent recruitment. Further, we wish Victor Cruz, all the luck on being a sportscaster after his NFL Retirement.
