Playing Career

Green started his playing career with the San Diego Chargers in 1993. Trent got injured by Rodney Harrison in a pre-season game against Chargers. In addition, he also played for Kansas City Chiefs, Rams, Miami Dolphins.

Green's Kansas City career ended with a further playoff loss against Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts in the 2006 NFL Playoff Wild Card round.

During the game against Houston, Trent got injured and he has to left the game. Later, Houston's player Travis Johnson compared him with the scarecrow. After the incident. Texans coach Gary Kubiak admitted Travis reaction was inexcusable.

Trent retired from his playing career on June 12, 2009.

In the 2009 NFL season, Green began working as a color analyst on regional NFL games for the Fox network for one season and as an NFL Total Access studio analyst on the NFL network.

He also worked with Ian Eagle on Westwood One radio on Thursday Night Football games and with Paul Burmeister on preseason broadcasts from Kansas City Chiefs. In April 2014 CBS hired Green as their NFL analyst.
