TJ Dillashaw makes a bold claim ahead of his comeback; ‘Funkmaster’ fires back MMA

Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will be eligible to make his return to the Octagon in January 2021. He was suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for 2 years after he was found using performance-enhancing substances. Ahead of his comeback to the UFC, Lieutenant Dan made a huge claim through his social media.

Dillashaw announced on Instagram that he will reclaim his 135-pound title and wrote: “My return will be here soon and ready to reclaim what’s mine".

Earlier, he vacated the title after he was tested using recombinant human erythropoietin (EPO) after his loss to Henry Cejudo for the flyweight title at UFC Brooklyn on ESPN.

After TJ's statement came out, the Bantamweight No. 2-ranked title contender Aljamain Sterling hit back at the former champ and tweeted:

“Those tricks are old now man. There’s new kids on the block and I’m not even just talking about me. Win 1-2 fights and then maybe he can have a shot at my throne.”

Sterling is a leading contender for the title with 5 straight wins and 7 in the last 8 bouts. He is currently 19-3 and most recently defeated Cory Sandhagen at UFC 250.
