Coronavirus has spread worldwide as a pandemic and has disarrayed a sporting calendar. Most of the major sporting events have either been canceled or postponed. Some of the events are being conducted inside the closed doors without the presence of fans.
However, with the outbreak of the virus uncontrollably and the sports personalities showing symptoms and also diagnosed with the virus, this has created a major threat across a range of sports - from athletics, rugby and golf to football, tennis, and motorsports. Utah Jazz's center Rudy Gobert was the first top-class player to be tested positive for the coronavirus while Juventus' Daniele Rugani was the first top-class footballer to be diagnosed with the virus.

While most of the sports like the NBA, Champions League, MLS, NHL have been suspended, the recent discovery of the virus in some of the Premier League Sportsperson has created a chaos in the future of Premier League 2019-20. After Arsenal's manager Mikel Arteta, Chelsea's winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was also tested positive for the virus. Earlier, Sampdoria's striker Manolo Gabbiadini was also tested positive for the virus becoming the second Serie A player.
