Patrick Sean Payton, widely recognized as Sean Payton, is an American former football player and head coach. He served as the head coach for the New Orleans of the NFL, a position from 2006 to 2021. He was a quarterback at Naperville Central High School and Eastern Illinois University and played professionally in 1987 and 1988. H started his coaching career in 1988 serving for San Diego State (1988–1989), Indiana State (1990–1991), San Diego State (1992–1993), Miami (OH) (1994–1995), Illinois (1996), Philadelphia Eagles (1997–1998), New York Giants (1999-2002), and Dallas Cowboys (2003–2005).
