Royce Gracie is one of the most MMA fighters who has ever stepped up in the ring. The UFC Hall OF Fame Inductee Gracia is semi-retired Brazilian professional mixed martial arts fighter who currently competes at the American renowned MMA promotion, Bellator MMA.

 

He has previously competed in American MMA promotion, Ultimate Fighting Championships. As of 2018, he has a professional MMA record of 15 wins, 2 losses and 3 draws from his total 20 MMA appearances. Further, he has appeared in Welterweight, Middle Weight and even in the light heavyweight division of MMA in his entire career.

Royce Gracie is of Brazilian nationality. He was born to mother, Isabel Gracie, and father, Helio Gracie on 12th December 1966 in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Besides him, he has five brothers and one sister in his family.

Royce Gracie’s Career

He made his professional MMA debut in 1993 when he joined UFC and made his debut against Art Jimmerson and winning the debut match with a submission hold.

Gracie went on to win against Ken Shamrock as well as Gerad Gordeau to win UFC 1 event and later went on to win the UFC 2 and UFC 3. During his time with the UFC, he won against competitors such as Ron Van Clief, Dan Severn etc to name a few.

Later on, he went to Japanese and competed for Japanese MMA promotion, Pride FC and won his debut against Nobuhiko Takada and suffered his loss in his MMA career when he got beaten by Kazushi Sakuraba.

He is currently is signed with American MMA promotion, Bellator MMA in 2016. He made his Bellator MMA debut against Ken Shamrock in the Bellator event, Bellator 149 and won the bout via TKO.

Royce Gracie’s  Personal Life

Talking about his personal life, he was previously married to his wife, Marianne Gracie. The couple got married in 1995. The couple later filed for divorce and was later finalized in 2016, thus ending over the two-decade martial relationship.

The pair has blessed with four children, one daughter, Kharianna Gracie and three sons, KheydonKhonry and Khor Gracie.

As of now, the Brazilian MMA legend is currently single and unmarried as there is no news or rumors about the MMA star being caught up with any woman.
