Roman Torres is a star Panamanian player who serves as the captain of the National team and also plays for the MLS club Seattle Sounders FC as a defender. Regarded as the star player of the Nation, he has previously played for several clubs like San Francisco, Cortuluá, La Equidad, Atlético Junior, Atlético Nacional and Millonarios.

 

He is the captain of the 23-man squad selected to play in the FIFA World Cup 2018.

Roman Torres played with Chepo at the youth level. He started his professional career with Chepo in 2004 and played 27 games scoring 5 goals. In 2005, he joined San Francisco where he appeared in 33 games and scored 4 goals.

The defender moved to Cortulua and scored 6 goals appearing in 33 matches. He is most known for his long stint with La Equidad from 2007-2015 where he appeared in 84 matches. He also won the Copa Colombia with the club in 2008.

During that time, he was loaned to several clubs and was the prominent player of the club. In 2015, he joined Seattle Sounders FC in MLS and has been playing for the club since then.
