Hall checked into rehab paid by WWE after his release from TNA in 2010. In early October 2010, Hall checked out of the rehab facility. Hall had both a defibrillator and a pacemaker implanted in his chest for weeks after checking rehabilitation.

Longtime friend Kevin Nash claims the substance abuse of Hall has been caused by posttraumatic stress disorder. ESPN's E:60 on October 20, 2011, featured a documentary detailing the drug and alcohol experience of Hall.

In 1983, after shooting a man with his own gun (after wrestling it away from him) in an altercation outside a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Hall was charged with second-degree murder. Further, the charges were removed due to the lack of evidence.

Hall was arrested on October 10, 2008, during an Iron Sheik roast held at a New Jersey hotel in Crowne Plaza. Hall was arrested on May 14, 2010, charging a police officer with disorderly behavior and resistance. Police were called after Hall to the Hitching Post Bar in Chuluota, Florida (which, according to the police report, had "drunk heavily"), "became aggressive."

On April 6, 2012, Hall was arrested by Seminole County Sheriff's office representatives at about 9:31 p.m. in Chuluota, Florida. The arrest was later reported as involving his girlfriend, Lisa Howell, for a domestic disturbance.

Razor Ramon was born on October 20, 1958, in Miami Florida to the parents whose details aren't available in the media yet. Further, he holds the nationality of America and has the racial background of White. Also, his zodiac sign is Libra.

Razor grew up as a brat in the army and moved once a year before he was 15 years old. In Munich, West Germany, he attended high school. There is no further information about his early life, amateur career and his training phase in any sources or news portals.

Hall began his career at the Florida Championship Wrestling of Florida (CWF) National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in 1984 and soon began a feud with Dusty Rhodes. He and Dan Spivey trained together under Rhodes, but also under Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham in Florida. Rhodes sent them to work in Jim Crockett's Charlotte, North Carolina when it was time for the two to debut as a tag team.

In 1985, Hall joined the American Wrestling Association (AWA), where he wrestled as Scott Hall's "Magnum" and later as Scott Hall's "Big." Hall formed a tag team with his more experienced friend Curt Hennig, whom he would later credit for cultivating his early career as a professional wrestler. In a 58-minute match in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the team defeated Jimmy Garvin and Steve Regal for the AWA World Tag Team Championship on January 1986.

In 1989, Jim Ross brought Hall to the NWA's WCW territory as part of the NWA's initiative to develop new, young stars (including Brian Pillman and Sid Vicious as well).  Hall as Razor Ramon Hall joined the WWF, a shady and stylish Cuban American bully from Miami. The character was modeled on the characters from the Scarface movie Tony Montana and Manny Ribera.

On Monday Night Raw's episode of October 4, 1993, a 20-man royal battle was held; for the vacant WWF Intercontinental Championship, the last two participants would face each other the following week. Ramon began a feud with Shawn Michaels over which man had the stronger claim to the Intercontinental Championship. Michaels had been stripped of the title months before due to "inactivity" (he was actually suspended during that time). 

After leaving the WWF with an unannounced promo on May 27, 1996, Hall returned to WCW for the third time, appearing from the crowd in street clothes and claiming to be an "outsider." Razor was joined by Kevin Nash on June 10. They said they were undertaking a hostile takeover of WCW, then slammed through the table of the commentator to interviewer Eric Bischoff.

Razor Ramon was announced on March 24, 2014, as the seventh and final inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame class of that year. On April 5, the night before WrestleMania XXX, he was inducted in New Orleans.
