Paul George is an American professional basketball player who plays in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He currently plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder as their small forward. Over his nine-season career span, he has only played with one other team which is the Indiana Pacers.

George was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2010 NBA Draft and played with the team till the end of the 2016 season. George is a five-time NBA All-Star and four-time All-NBA Team Selection.

However, the two rekindled their relationship later and have been together ever since. Despite being the mother to his children, George has not shown any signs to get married to Olivia.

Early Life of Paul George

Paul Clifton Anthony George was born on May 2, 1990, in Los Angeles County, Palmdale, California to parents Paul George Sr. and Paulette George. He grew up with two older sisters, Teiosha and Portala. Growing up, he rooted for the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers and had basketball stars like Kobe Bryant as his idol.

George attended Knight High School in Palmdale, California where he played for the varsity basketball team. At the end of his senior season, Paul had an average of 23.2 points and 11.2 rebounds. He was not a major prospect for colleges and was overshadowed by players like Jrue Holiday and DeMar DeRozan. After completing high school, George enrolled at California State University, Fresno where he played college basketball with the Fresno State Bulldogs.

Professional Life of Paul George

Paul George forewent two seasons of his college basketball season and entered in the 2010 NBA draft. The Indiana Pacers selected Paul George as tenth overall. George signed a rookie two-year guaranteed deal worth $3.9 million, with the team options for a third and fourth-year contract with the Pacers on July 1, 2010.

Playing against the San Antonio Spurs on October 27, 2010, Paul George made his NBA debut. A the end of the rookie season, George had started in 19 of his 61 games and had averaged 7.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He was named to the 2011 NBA All-Rookie Second Team. On his second season at NBA, George improved his stats from the previous season with an average of 12.1 points, 2.4 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.6 steals.

In the 2012 season, Paul George was able to break the franchise record for most 3-pointers in a single game by scoring nine 3-pointers. He also recorded his first career triple-double that year and was selected for the NBA All-Star Game. George ended the season with average career-highs of 17.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists being named the NBA Most Improved Player.

The Pacers extended George's contract on September 25, 2013, making him their designated player. With the contract extension, George stayed at the Pacers till the end of the 2016 season.

After the end of the 2016 season, the Pacers traded George to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Victor Oladipp and Domantas Sabonis. George made his debut with the Thunders in their season opener on October 19, 2017.

The Thunders ended the 2017 season with a 47-35 record. Paul George averaged 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the season. On July 6, 2018, George re-signed with the Thunders for a four-year, $137 million contract.
