Owen Roddy: "I Don't Know If He Will Retire", Roddy shuts Down Conor McGregor's Retirement Rumors MMA

Remember MMA analyst Robin Black saying that the Irishman will possibly announce his retirement after he faces the unbeaten Russian. Well, after a month, Conor's striking coach for 14 years Owen Roddy sparks the light on his retirement rumors and says "I don't know if he will retire".

After adding over $100 million from his super fight with unbeaten Boxer Floyd Mayweather, Conor returns to (MMA) to solve things with Khabib Normagomadov, this time inside the octagon.

Conor McGregor's long-awaited Octagon return against unbeaten fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov is set to happen on Oct. 6, 2018, in T-mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.

As the rumors of his retirement surround the MMA community, someone from Conor's team spoke that it's not going to happen.  Conor's sticking coach on Eurobash (via MMA Fighting) denied Owen Roddy's claim.

Owen in the interview with Peter Carroll Said:

I don’t know … I don’t think, he will retire, I don’t look into the future to see what’s happening. Conor’s mentality hasn’t changed at all, so I don’t know

He further added

I always say, it depends on what fights are available, I think, for Conor, As I said, if there is another big super fight and Conor feels like he would enjoy it, then he’ll do it. If the fans want it and stuff like that, I think Conor will take it

UFC's former Middleweight and Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre showed an interest in fighting the Notorious but UFC president Dana White said its a long way from now and trashed it.

So, what's the plan for team Mcgregor Now? On this, Conor's coach further added:

You never know, who knows? We’re just going to focus on the task at hand now. This is potentially the biggest fight ever. We’ll go in and do that and then he’ll probably be on to the next biggest fight ever.

Conor even has other fights lying on the floor as he still has a trilogy with Diaz, a featherweight title fight remains on his lap but if he loses to Khabib, people believe that it will be the fall of McGregor era.
