ASC Toure Kunda de Mbour

Following various youth system at ASC Toure Kunda de Mbour, Konat was promoted up to the senior team of the club. In his debut season, he helped his team to win promotion to top division and win the Senegal FA Cup, which resulted in 2011 CAF Confederation Cup appearance.

In spring 2011, he relocated to Israel for a month trial for Maccabi Tei Aviv. Following his impressive performance at the club, he was offered to join the Maccabi Tel Aviv by the Coach named Mati Ivanir.

Maccabi Tel Aviv

On 1st July 2011, Konat signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He made his debut for the club against FK Khazar Lankaran, playing in UEFA Europe League second qualifying round, where he also recorded his first goal in a 3-1 win.

He remained with the club for a season playing 29 matches and scored five goals.

Krasnodar 

On 23rd August 2012, Konat arrived at Krasnodar, agreeing on $2.34 million transfer fee.

On 12th July 2013, he was loaned out to Italian Serir A club Genoa for a season.

Sion

On 1st September 2014, Konat signed to FC Sion for a reported transfer fee of $408,947. He remained with the team for three seasons and played 93 matches.

Amiens

On 13th August 2017, Konat arrived at Amiens, signing a four-year contract for a reported transfer fee of $4.09 million. He was assigned jersey No. 15.

Moussa Konat's International Career

At the 2012 Olympic tournament, Konaté played in all of Senegal's matches making the country reached the quarter-finals. In the first group match at Old Trafford, he scored his first international goal in a 1-1 draw with Great Britain.

Furthermore, Konaté was a team member of the Senegalese team, which played in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

In May 2018, he was named in Senegal’s 23 man squad along with his teammates, Badou Ndiaye, Saliou Ciss, and Kalidou Koulibaly, for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
