Mitch Haniger was born on December 23, 1990, in Mountain View, California. He is American by nationality and belongs to the White ethnic group. Further, his star sign is Capricorn. He grew up along with his brother, Jason.

Haniger was recruited as an athlete by California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), Cal State Fullerton, California University, Berkeley, Oregon University, Santa Barbara University, and Davis University, all of whom wanted Haniger to play on their college baseball team.

While playing right field as a freshman and sophomore at Cal Poly, Haniger was playing center field as a junior. After his debut season with the Mustangs, Haniger was named the 2010 Big West Conference Freshman of the Year, a year in which he beat an impressive.

Mitch Haniger Was First Drafted By Milwaukee

After selection in the supplementary section of the first round of the 2012 MLB draft, Haniger was originally signed by the Milwaukee Brewers. In 2014, while still a minor league prospect, he was traded to the Diamondbacks.

He made his Diamondbacks MLB debut in 2016. During his time at MLB, for his display of multiple baseball tools including hitting, running, and fielding, he received the nickname "The Shed."
