Moore began her professional career in 2011 with the Minnesota Lynx of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and is still continuing with it.
Born on June 11, 1989, in Jefferson City, Missouri, Maya Moore was a sports lover from a very young age. She used to play different sports such as high jump, volleyball and was very interested to become a singer at the age of 5. She did her high school from Collins Hill High School where she helped lead her team to three Georgia state titles and one runner-up finish in basketball.
Later, she joined the University of Connecticut where she was the member of Connecticut Huskies women's basketball.
Moore won various titles such as "Naismith National High School Player of the Year", the Naismith, and Gatorade Awards as national basketball player of the year and so on for her brilliant performance and it turned out to be a career break point for her.
