Mardig Kevork Mardigian better known as Mardik Mardikian is a Syrian international footballer who currently plays for AI-Arabi as a center-forward wearing 11 number shirt. He is also the member of Syrian national football team.
Mardik Mardikian was born on 14th of March 1922, in Lattakia, Syria, as Mardig Kevork Mardigian. His father, Kevork Mardikian is a former Syria football midfielder and a coach. Talking about his nationality, he is a Syrian and he belongs to Armenian ethnicity.
Mardik Mardikian began his football career professionally with the club Hutten. After playing for a year in a youth team, he was promoted to the main team of the club by signing his first ever professional contract. For the club, he scored 5 goals in his 4-seasons long spell.
Following his excellent performance with Hutten, Mardikian received offers from various clubs in the GCC and was ultimately signed by Al-Riffa on Loan. He made 7 league appearances and scored 4 goals.
In 2013, he was signed by Al-Jazeera on loan. He scored 8 goals in 11 appearances. Likewise, he played 2013-14 season for the Oman professional sports club Sohar in the loan. Mardik became the top-scorer of the club, scoring 11 leagues goals for the club and helped the club to stay in the top division.
In the same season, Mardikian signed a contract with Fanja and made his debut for the club in a 1-0 victory against Al-Suwaiq Club on 12th September 2014. The same year in December, he was released by the club.
On 19th January 2015, Mardikian signed a six-month deal with Qatar multi-sport club Al-Markhiya which plays in Qatargas League. He played 4 league matches for the club and scored 3 goals.
After the expiration of his deal with Al-Markhiya, Mardikian joined Naft Al-Wasat and then Al-Jazeera. For Jordanian football club, he scored 13 goals. Currently, Mardikian plays in the Qatar Stars League from Al-Arabi’s side.
From 2009-10, Mardikian played under Syrian U-20 national team. He was also the part of Syrian U-23 till 2012.
Mardik Mardikian joined Syrian national team in the year 2012. On 24th March 2015, he scored his first international goal in a 2-2 draw against Lebanon in an "International Friendly". Till the date, he has earned 20 caps and scored 3 goals for his national team.
