Luka Jovic is a Serbian footballer currently playing for the German club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Benfica and also for the Serbia National Team. Commencing his professional football career in 2014, Jovic has played for the clubs like Red Star Belgrade, Benfica, and Eintracht Frankfurt with the record of 28 club career goals.

Luka Jovic Bio, Early Life, and Early Career

Luka Jovic was born to Milan Jovic and Svetlana Jovic on December 23, 1997, in a small village Batar of Bijeljina, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. Introduced to football at the age of 5, Luka Jovic, in 2004, got chance to play in  Mini Maxi, a development league for kids aged between 4 and 12 in Belgrade, where he scored 3 goals in his first game.

For a game in Mini Maxi, Jovic's father was given €50 (50 Euros) and the offer got bigger after Red Star's scout Toma Milicevic invited him to trial with Red Star Belgrade, later he remained in the youth system from 2005 to 2014.

Professional Career (2014- Present)

After completing his formalities in Belgrade's youth system, Luka Jovic made his professional debut with the senior Red Star Belgrade team on May 28, 2014, at the age of 16 years, 5 months and 5 days.

Jovic broke Dejan Stankovic's record as the youngest goalscorer in club's history in his debut game against FK Vojvodina in Novi Sad, later followed by his youngest player ever to play in an Eternal derby (Red Star Belgrade vs Partizan Belgarde) at the age of 16 years, 9 months and 25 days on October 18, 2014.

On May 17, 2015, he signed a 3-year contract with Red Star due till 2018 but played till 2016. Playing from 2014- 2016 for the team, Jovic finished 12 goals in 42 appearances. 

Benfica and Loan Transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt 

Luka Jovic joined Portuguese side Benfica in February 2016 on a 5-year deal till 2021. Jovic debuted with Benfica B on March 9, 2016, later making a breakthrough with the main team on March 20, that year.

After playing a season with Benfica scoring 4 goals, Luka Jovic was transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt on a 2-season loan with an option to sign him on a permanent basis.

With Eintracht Frankfurt, Luka Jovic has made 22 appearances while scoring 8 goals.

International Career

Jovic made his international debut with Serbia U-17 and scored a hat trick for Serbia U-17 in a 4–1 win against Croatia U-17 on December 11, 2013

Luka named to Serbia's U19 squad for the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship later played for U-20 and U-21 division. 

In May 2018, Luka Jovic was named to the Serbia National Team squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in the captainship of Aleksandar Kolarov and under manager Mladen Krstajic.
