Lisa Kearney is an Olympics judo player from Ireland. She has represented the country of Ireland in many international events including the Summer Olympics and Commonwealth Games.

She has competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics held in London representing the Irish National Team. Lisa is currently living in Belfast. The 29 years old Judo player trained under famous trainer  Ciaran Ward. 

Lisa Kearney Early Life

Lisa Kearney was born on 27th May 1989, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Other than being a world-class Judo player, Lisa is also a Psychology Graduate from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland. She participated in the Summer Olympics at the age of 23 and was able to win a bronze medal for the Irish team in her very first Olympics appearance.

Lisa Kearney has retired from Irish national team and is currently opting out towards a fighting career. The psychology student at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh also intends on supporting her Irish team-mates too.

Lisa Kearney, a National level Judo Player and a Psychology graduate, last competed in 2012 Summer Olympics in 48 kg weight category on behalf of the Irish National Team. She was trained in Yamakwai Judo Club, Belfast by coach Ciaran Ward.

She has competed in many international games like Commonwealth Games, Olympics and many other national games.

After winning a Bronze medal in 2012 summer Olympics, she also won a Bronze in 2014's Commonwealth games held in Scotland. She won the first medal for her country in women's 52 kg contest against Indian player Kalpana Thoudam at SECC Precinct and was Ireland's first female judo representative at the 2012 Olympics.
