Justin Louis Thomas was born on April 29, 1993, in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Jani Thomas and Mike Thomas. For his high school education, he attended the St. Xavier High School where he graduated from in 2011. He is the third younger player to make the cut in a PGA Tour event at 16 years, 3 months and 24 days.
For further studies, Thomas attended the University of Alabama where he continued to play golf. In his freshman year of 2012, he won the Haskins Award as the most outstanding collegiate golfer. He was a member of the 2013 national championship team.
Justin Thomas started his professional journey in 2013. It was in 2014 that he got to win his first professional event at the Children's Hospital Championships. Finishing fifth in the 2014 Web.com Tour regular season, and third after the Web.com Tour Finals, he earned a spot for himself for the 2015 PGA Tour.
