College and Professional Career

Upon high school graduation, Gimelstob attended UCLA where he played tennis for his college team. Until now, he has been outstanding in Australian, French, and US Open. In 1997 and 1999, he participated in the US Open and reached the 3R of the tournament.

Gimelstob established himself as doubles specialists, winning 12 titles. He was the winner of the 1998 Australian Open and French Open mixed doubles titles along with Venus Williams as his partner. Until now, he has won 13 Career ATP Doubles Titles.

Gimelstob also participated and performed for the US Davis Cup team in 1998 and 2001.

Gimelstob's wife Sinnott is a psychotherapist and currently practiced in Los Angeles. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Ph.D. in psychology from California Graduate Institute of the Chicago School in Los Angeles.

Gimelstob's father-in-law Kayne Anderson is a CEO of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors in Los Angeles.

Gimelstob is also the owner of the Without Limits Productions, a television production company based in Los Angeles, and board of the members of the Association of Tennis Professionals.

Gimelstob has also been the part of the controversies. In 2010, he was suspended from his duties for the comment he made about the ex-president Barack Obama.
