Jesus started his career with club Monterrey. He made his senior debut on 7th August 2010 in the match against Atlante which ended up with a win of 2–1 for Monterrey. Corona also represented the team in the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup, where his performance was highly appreciated.
On 22 August 2013, Corona was transferred to Dutch side Football club "Twente" with a four-year contract.
