Jaylen Hands' College Career

Hands and junior Aaron Holiday gave the Bruins two fast guards capable of handling the ball as a freshman in 2017–18, and they were expected to play alongside each other as well as share point guard duties. Hands took on the lead-point guard role in 2018–19 with Holiday leaving for the NBA.

Hands had a career-high 11 assists in an 80–61 victory over Hawaii on November 28, 2019. He finished the year as the Pac-12 assist leader (6.1) and was named All-Pac-12 second-team. After the season, he announced he would declare and hire an agent for the 2019 NBA draft.
