Seems the income has now been more than double for Hammond, as while working in the BBC, Hammond received the annual salary of $679,043. 

Furthermore, it is reported that Hammond and Clarkson received $48.62 million to make the first 13-episode of the show The Grand Tour. His former co-presenter Jeremy Clarkson was the top paid TV presenter with the salary of £9.6 million a year.

Amazon Prime allocated the budget of about £160 million in total on 36 episodes over three years with the budget of £4.5 million from each individual show. The budget was £500,000 per show initially and would reach $1 million with the charge of the presenters.

He also bought 2016 Ford Mustang convertible in white with black Shelby stripes as he bought as a Christmas present for his wife in 2016.
