He has since then transferred to the Queensland State of Origin and has set multiple club record with the team. In his career run to date, he has made 732 points from 299 games and 188 NRL tries which is the 2nd most of all time, behind Ken Irvine. He has won two grand finals with the team and has also been the winner of two World Club Challenge.

In his career run, he has been awarded Dally M Award Best Fullback (2008,2011,2018), Dally M Award Player of the Year (2011), Dally M Award Best Representative Player (2010) and Dally M Award Top Tryscorer (2005).

He announced of his retirement on 8 August 2018 stating that he would be retiring from the sport at the end of the 2018 season.
