Cleveland 25 27 13 20 85

After the game, LeBron said:

What happened? Self-inflicted, post-game after Game 1. Very emotional, for a lot of different reasons. Understanding how important Game 1 is on the road for our ballclub, what would that have done for us. The way we played, the calls that was made throughout the course of that game, I had emotions on the game was taken away from us. I had emotions of you just don't get opportunities like this on the road, versus Golden State, to be able to get a Game 1. And I let the emotions get the best of me. I pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand, so that's what it is.

This was the fourth straight finals meeting of Warriors and Cavaliers and 8th straight final appearance of LeBron James.

Having played one of the worst finals match on Game 3, Curry had an impressive start. The question was, Will Curry win his first finals MVP?

Ending the doubt, Kevin Durant was selected the MVP for second consecutive time. Durant received 7 of the 11 votes.

Durant said:

We all want something that's bigger than ourselves. I think we love to see each other succeed. We love to come together and figure stuff out on the basketball court.

Warriors coach, Steve Kerr said there is no comparison between Curry and Durant. Praising about the two tile League's MVP, Kerr said:

Everything Steph is about, everything he is—based on his family and his background and just what he's learned in his life—he's just all about us," Kerr said. "He's all about the team. He's just an amazing human being, and I'm incredibly lucky to coach him.

Curry might have been disappointed for not winning the finals MVP, he seemed to be happy with the third NBA titles. He said:

At the end of the day, I’m not going to let a [Finals] MVP trophy define my career. Three titles. … Wherever that puts us in the conversation in the history of the NBA … I’m a three-time champ.

Exactly! Everyone knows Curry is the driving force behind the success of Golden State Warriors.

Congratulations Golden State Warriors and Kevin Durant.
