Forbes' highest-paid athlete of last 3 decades: Floyd Mayweather tops the list ahead of Messi and Ronaldo Boxing

Forbes recently released a list of the highest-paid athlete in the world in the last 30 years and Floyd Mayweather topped the list surpassing other athletes with a huge gap. The list included the research from 1990 to 1999 by David McSweeney of noobnorm.com.

With over $200 million, the retired American boxer is at no. 1 leaving behind other famous athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Lebron James, etc by a huge margin. Messi has $110 million and is at no. 2 while the Juventus forward Ronaldo has around $105 million and sits at no. 3.

Mayweather shared the twitter post and wrote, "Congratulations to all the athletes on this list."

The money man Mayweather came into limelight in 2012 and soon established himself as one of the highest-earning athletes breaking all the money records.

His mega-fight against boxing legend Manny Pacquiao in 2015 earned him £230 million and earned the same figure of money from his fight against former UFC champion Conor McGregor.
