Fábio Santos Bio and Early Life

Fabio Santos was born as Fabio Santos Romeu on September 16, 1985, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Santos is the son of Elenice Romeu and Cesinando Romeu. Born in a Brazilian family, Santos holds a Brazilian nationality.

Fábio Santos Club Career

At the age of 16, Fabio Santos began his football career joining youth club “Sao Paulo” in 2001.

Later, he was promoted to a senior team after a couple of years and was also the member of the team that won Copa Libertadores in 2005 and FIFA Club World Championship the same year.

Loan Year

From the club, Fabio Santos was loaned to clubs including Kashima Antlers(2006), Cruzeiro (2007), Monaco (2008) and Santos (2008).

Later, Fabio Santos was released from Santos in December 2008 and was signed by “Gremio” in 2009. He left the club in 2010, after scoring 1 goal in 20 appearances.

On January 12, 2011, Santos was signed by Corinthians where he played as a backup player for Roberto Carlos. Along with his team, he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, Copa Libertadores, FIFA Club World Cup, Campeonato Paulista, and Recopa Sudamericana.

Santos then signed a deal with the Mexican football club, Cruz Azul on June 18, 2015. He made over 30 appearances and scored 3 goals before ending his career in the club in 2016.

Fabio Santos signed a contract with Atletico Mineiro on May 26, 2016, and he currently plays as a left back for the team.
