Darrion Caldwell is an American mixed martial artist who is currently signed with an American MMA promotion, Bellator MMA in their featherweight category. He formerly competed in the bantamweight division and is the former bantamweight champion. Nicknamed The Wolf, he also competed in the Texas-based MMA organization, Legacy FC.

He is currently the Bellator Bantamweight champion and has been the NCAA national wrestling champion in 2009.

Darrion Caldwell is of American nationality. He was born on December 19, 1987, in Rahway, New Jersey, the United States of America. He received his primary education from Rahway High School. While in school, he played football, basketball, and wrestling. He then opted to focus on wrestling. He was an excellent athlete and was the three times state champion.

He went to North Carolina University and recorded the highest score in the history of the university in his freshman years.

Caldwell won the All American title during the 2007/08 season and earned his undergraduate degrees with a major in African studies. He was also selected in the 2012 US Olympic team but was knocked out in the third round.

He signed to the Texas MMA promotion, Legacy Fighting Championship in 2012, and made his debut against David Amalas at the Legacy event, Legacy FC 14 on September 14, 2012, and won his debut bout against via a unanimous decision.

Caldwell later won the matches against Quaint Kempf and Gerzan Claw during his time with Legacy. He was later approached and signed by renowned American MMA promotion, Bellator MMA, and made his debut in 2014.

Caldwell won the Bellator Bantamweight Champion on 6 to October 2017 by emerging victorious over Eduardo Dantas at the Bellator 167. He went on to successfully defend his title against Leandro Higo on March 2, 2018.
